Continuum

I wasn't expecting much of this show, because it just seemed like another boring science fiction show, and.. it seems like it is. The plot reminds me of the same old stuff. A girl protagonist goes back in time (accidentally) with a terrorist group, and then the terrorist group does more terror back in time. The girl tries to stop them because she is a cop, and that is where all the struggle goes. You meet a few other people such as Eric Sadler, someone who will invent technology in the future and become famous. Near the end a twist comes but I did not find it surprising at all, so the show overall was a let down. I've seen many Sci-Fi shows in the past, so I can see how I can come across as harsh on some of the newer ones. I think it could be a decent show for someone who is just getting into watching Sci-Fi shows, but I would recommend Doctor Who or Star Trek. I have only watched the first episode so far, so this review might be updated in the future. This show gets a 70%, for just being another average show.
Big Bang Theory

Ah Big Bang Theory, apparently a very popular show. I always saw it on the TV guide but never really took interest, so I decided to give it a try. Right when I started watching it, it had a familiar feel to it. Then I realized it reminded me of The 70's Show, one of my favorites. Then later on, I realized... it was a bad 70's Show. The jokes were not very funny, the laugh track was used way too much, and the characters didn't have any appeal to me. One of the main characters, Sheldon is someone without any emotions and motives and is a geek. How is that a good idea for a character? There is no way to like him for any reason, except for his crappy one-liner jokes. It seemed like they made the show off of the success of The 70's Show, hoping it would succeed like the 70's Show. Well, it seems it did. Many people are watching it now, and is currently the number one show right now. I'm very surprised, because I don't think it's that very good at all. Again, I've only seen one episode and my opinion might change in the future. It will probably be the same for the rest. You can attempt to watch it, but have fun trying to enjoy it. I give this show a 40%.
Honey Boo Boo

After being disgusted with Toddlers and Tiaras, I still tried to watch this spin-off.The commercials with the little girl saying things that I couldn't really understand, hooked me. I watched one episode, and is this both shocking and scary, and addictive. The family is hilarious and are not as dysfunctional as you would think. They do have their arguments sometimes, if you would call them arguments. Some of the arguments or conversations they have are very... strange. It hardly seems to resemble anything of Toddlers and Tiaras, not many pageants here. The first episode has them going to a Redneck Olympics, where you see stereotypical southern people jumping in mud and all sorts of other crazy things. This show is actually pretty decent. You will find yourself laughing at how ridiculous the family is at times. I give this show an 82%. You should watch it if it ever shows up on TV. Not sure how it will turn up in the future, whether it will be cancelled or not.
Portlandia

Portlandia is a comedy show full of skits. I had just finished watching the first 2 seasons of it, and I am currently watching season 3 at the moment. Veteran SNL actors Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein are the main performers of this show, and they play various characters in different hilarious skits. They have familiar skits each episode that never get old, but they all have some form of hidden humor. It isn't really in your face, so it is a love or hate show. I love it. It isn't the most popular show around. They have a lot of cameos of famous actors and such, such as Tim Robbins from Shawshank Redemption, or Penny Marshal, director and star of Laverne and Shirley. I give this show a 92%. You should try it, because I think it is probably one of the most funniest shows I have seen in a long time.
Twilight Zone

As classic as it gets. Probably the only show in black and white I like other than the Three Stooges. I might be the only one, but this show creeps me out so much. Amazing episodes such as "Eye of the Beholder" or "How to serve Man" is what makes this show good. The plot twists are shocking and thrilling. Each episode gives this creepy, depressing feeling and that is what sells the show. The actors aren't the greatest, but they are good enough to give an amazing plot support. This show is just great, all I can say. Even if you aren't a fan of the old stuff, you will probably still love it. Many people my age seem to like this show too, it's strange. I guess it really proves that this show is good. I give this show a 90%.
